Nothing Phone 3 may launch with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and cost this much

Nothing recently launched the more affordable Phone 2a smartphone in India. Now, it’s gearing up for probably its biggest release this year – the Nothing Phone 2. The smartphone will succeed the Nothing Phone 3 and is expected to offer updated specs and design. A report reveals the key specs of the smartphone along with its price range.

Nothing Phone 3 India price range

As per a report by 91Mobiles Hindi, the Nothing Phone 3 will be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000. This is slightly cheaper than the launch price of the Phone 2.

The report suggests that Nothing doesn’t plan to enter the premium segment yet and may build its user base in the Rs 20,000-40,000 segment. That said, Nothing isn’t planning to employ high-end chips.

The smartphone is expected to launch in the next couple of months. The Phone 2 was released back in July 2023.

Nothing Phone 3 specifications

Nothing Phone 3 was expected to launch with a high-end chipset, but it appears that’s not the case. The Phone 3 is tipped to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Now, this chip sounds like a high-end one given it’s from the ‘8’ series. However, it’s a toned-down version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 so the performance will differ.

The Phone 2 has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is a flagship-grade chip from 2022. We will have to wait to see the exact performance difference between 8s Gen 3 and 8+ Gen 1.

Apart from this, the upcoming Phone 3 may feature a large OLED display with a high refresh rate support. It is expected to feature at least two cameras on the back and may come with a big battery supporting both wired and wireless charging akin to the Phone 2.

As of now, the details of the Nothing Phone 3 are scarce so we will have to wait for some time to learn more. Although Nothing did share a teaser on its social handles, it doesn’t reveal anything about the phone in specific.

The existing Nothing Phone 2 comes with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It boasts a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP main lens and a 450MP ultrawide sensor. Upfront, it has a 32MP selfie snapper.

The smartphone has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and houses a 4,700mAh cell with 45W wired fast charging. It also has 15W wireless fast charging support. The phone was launched with Android 13 OS out of the box, but has already received the Android 14 update.
