Motorola Razr 50 series launch date confirmed, priced leaked

Motorola’s next flip phone series, the Razr 50, is coming to China on June 25. Usually, the company takes some time to introduce new phones to international markets, but Motorola has announced that June 25 will also be when the new Razr 50 series phones make their global debut. The Razr 50 series will likely bring notable upgrades over the predecessor, but the discernible changes will be to the display, which will be much bigger this time and feature narrow bezels.

Motorola Razr 50 series specifications

According to Motorola, the series will have two phones. The Razr 50 Ultra will be the flagship foldable phone from the company. It will feature a 6.9-inch main display and a 4-inch cover display, both using OLED panels. The main display would come with a Full-HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate. Powering the smartphone would be an octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor with RAM options between 8GB and 18GB. You could get between 128GB and 1TB of storage on the Razr 50 Ultra, which will pack two 50MP cameras on the back and a 32MP front camera. The Razr 50 Ultra could feature a 3800mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Motorola Razr 50 will feature some changes. While its main display will use a 6.9-inch OLED panel, its cover OLED display will measure 3.6 inches. A MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset will likely power the Razr 50, making it a bit slower than the Ultra model. It will also have a 50MP main camera, but its secondary camera will use a 13MP sensor. The front camera will retain the 32MP sensor from the Ultra model. But the battery of the Motorola Razr 50 will be much bigger than that of the Ultra model. It will be a 4200mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Motorola Razr 50 series price leaked

The new Motorola Razr 50 series launch is still some days to go, but a European retailer has leaked the price of these phones through listings (via YTechb.com). The Razr 50 Ultra will be available for EUR 1,199 (roughly Rs 1,07,400) and the Razr 50 will retail at a starting price of EUR 899 (roughly Rs 80,500). The Indian prices of these phones will be similar.
