Motorola Edge 70 Launch Date In India Confirmed For December 15: Check Expected Specs, Features, More

Motorola is all set to launch another mid-range phone in India, and this time it’s the Motorola Edge 70. After weeks of teasers and a dedicated microsite going live on Flipkart, the tech giant has confirmed the official launch date: December 15. It is also confirmed that the phone will be sold via Flipkart, Motorola’s online store, and retail outlets across the country. Motorola Edge 70 Design 

The Edge 70 continues the design language we’ve seen across the Edge series with rounded corners, a sleek frame, and a squared (“squiricle”) camera module at the back. Motorola says the phone measures 5.99mm in thickness. The rear panel uses vegan leather, while the frame is described as aircraft-grade aluminium, and the phone weighs around 159g. For durability, it carries MIL-STD-810H certification, along with IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance, which is rare in this segment.

Motorola Edge 70 Specifications And Features (Expected)

The Motorola Edge 70 is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. It may also support Dolby Atmos for audio.

Under the hood, Motorola has officially confirmed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The phone will ship with Android 16-based Hello UI, and the company is promising three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Moreover, to keep thermals under control, the device is expected to also come with a Vapour Cooling Chamber system.

Talking about the cameras, the Edge 70 may carry a 50MP triple rear camera system, including a 50MP ultrawide and a Macro Vision lens. On the front, it may have a 50MP quad-pixel selfie camera. Moreover, it may pack a 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, with support for 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. 

However, the final specifications and price will be confirmed on launch day.
