
Motorola has unveiled the all-new Edge 50 Ultra smartphone. It is a premium smartphone with specs like a 144Hz pOLED display, 50MP triple cameras, and a Snapdragon 8 series processor. Further, it has features like wired, wireless, and reverse wireless charging. Alongside the Edge 50 Ultra, the company launched two more devices. However, not all of them can be bought right now. The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch Curved pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has 2500 nits of HBM brightness and Corning Gorilla Glas Victus protection. The punch-hole holds a 50MP front camera for clicking selfie images.
The device has a triple-rear camera system on the back with a 50MP main lens, a 64MP periscope telephoto sensor, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. The main lens has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support and the telephoto sensor has 3x optical zoom support.
Under the hood, it is powered by a new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It is paired with an Adreno 735 GPU. It has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W TurboPower wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. It also has a 10W reverse wireless charging tech.
It has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support. The device has a dual-SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and GNSS suite, including GPS and NavIC. It has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It runs on Android 14 and has Hello UI on top.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is priced at roughly EUR 999 or roughly Rs 89,900. However, it’s not available for purchase in India. It can be bought in the European markets. However, there’s one Edge 50 phone that you can buy right now in India, the Edge 50 Pro.
Motorola also launched the Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion in global markets. The former has a 6.7-inch 144Hz screen, 50MP triple-rear cameras, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It costs EUR 699 globally, but is priced aggressively at just Rs 31,999 in India. You can buy it in India on Flipkart.
As for the Edge 50 Fusion, it has a 6.7-inch 144Hz/120Hz screen, 50MP dual-rear cameras, and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Gen or Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, depending on the region. The device costs EUR 399 or roughly Rs 35,500.
