Motorola has taken the wraps off the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India. The smartphone succeeds the Edge 30 Pro in India and comes with several notable upgrades. The device brings in high-end features such as a 144Hz screen, wireless charging, and an IP68 rating in the midrange segment. It flaunts a silicone vegan leather back and packs a Snapdragon processor. Motorola Edge 50 Pro India price

The Edge 50 Pro starts at Rs 31,999 for 8GB RAM and 256GB variant and Rs 35,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Buyers can get up to Rs 2,250 instant discount on HDFC Bank CC and DC EMI transactions or they can opt for Rs 2,000 exchange bonus. With offers, the effective price of the phone comes down to Rs 29,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively.

Further, Motorola is giving an additional Rs 2,000 off as an introductory offer. The device will go on sale from April 9 on Flipkart and leading retail stores.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro specifications

The smartphone comes with a silicone vegan leather back with a metal frame for sturdiness. It features a 6.7-inch punch-hole screen with a 1.5k resolution. It is an OLED panel with up to 144Hz refresh rate and 2000 nits of peak brightness. Other features of the screen include HDR10+ support, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and SGS Eye protection. Further, it also doubles up as an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.

In terms of optics, it boasts a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP AI main lens, a 13MP ultrawide camera that also works as a macro sensor, and lastly, a telephoto lens with 30x hybrid zoom. The latter also has OIS support for stabilized footage. Motorola says that the entire camera experience has been upgraded with AI. Upfront, it has a single camera for selfies.

At the helm, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and houses a big battery with 125W wired fast charging support. Interestingly, it also has 50W wireless fast charging and 10W wireless power-sharing tech. It runs on Android 14 and has Motorola’s new Hello UI on top.
