Lava Play Ultra 5G India Launch Date

Lava Mobiles took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that the Lava Play Ultra 5G will be launched in India on August 20. The budget gaming phone is said to be available through Amazon India. The teaser image and the microsite don’t reveal much about the smartphone. Both hint towards the Lava Play Ultra 5G’s gaming capabilities, with the tagline “A new era of mobile gaming performance starts now.”

Lava Play Ultra 5G Design

A previous post on the social media platform X had teased the design of the upcoming Lava Play Ultra 5G. It will likely feature a glass back, with the volume rockers and power button located on the right edge of the frame. The phone left side will house a SIM tray.

Lava Play Ultra 5G Specifications, Features (Expected)

As per leaks on social media, the Lava Play Ultra will sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset coupled with UFS 3.1 storage. The device is said to score over 7 lakh points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. The Lava Play Ultra 5G is expected to support enhanced gaming performance with a dedicated Gameboost mode.

In terms of camera, the Lava Play Ultra 5G is rumoured to come with a dual camera setup on the back with a 64MP AI Matrix primary sensor. The lens could be a Sony IMX682 unit.

The Lava Play Ultra 5G is expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast wired charging support. Other features might include dual stereo speakers and dual microphones for noise cancellation.
