iQOO has begun teasing its next flagship, the iQOO 15, giving fans a closer look at the design and some of its key features. The company describes the new design as “stronger, more restrained, and elegant,” highlighted by a large camera module in the top-left corner. According to iQOO’s product manager, the camera deco resembles a spaceship floating on the glass back panel, making it one of the most eye-catching design elements yet. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the iQOO 15 will feature a right-angle metal middle frame and a thicker-than-usual lens module. The added bulk is reportedly due to the inclusion of a new periscope telephoto sensor. Earlier leaks suggest the phone will carry a 50MP periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, which would mark a major upgrade for the lineup. An RGB light strip is also said to be part of the design, hidden discreetly in the frame. Also Read: Apple A19 Pro vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5: Early Benchmarks Suggest iPhone Still Ahead
Product manager Ge Lan V claims iQOO 15’s 2K panel delivers picture detail beyond both 1.5K Android panels and even Apple’s Pro Max screens. Early figures suggest the display achieves a first-frame brightness of 98.1%, surpassing the industry average and solving issues like ghosting in moving text and images. Previous reports point to a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung LTPO display with ultra-narrow bezels and support for Pol-less depolarization technology. This should allow for better brightness, improved efficiency, and reduced power draw. The screen will also use AR anti-glare film, reportedly making it one of the costliest display setups on any upcoming flagship.
iQOO has already opened pre-reservations for the 15 series in China, signalling that the launch isn’t far away. The company has confirmed it will ship with Android 16-based OriginOS 6 in China. With Qualcomm set to announce the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at its annual summit next week, the iQOO 15 is tipped to debut on October 20, powered by the new chipset. An India launch is also expected before the year ends.
