Speculations are that both iPadOS and iOS will let the users select the default application for tasks like messaging, keyboard, password managers, etc. In addition to that, the feature will also give the option to delete apps like Safari, Photos, Camera, Messages, App Stores, and more on your iPhone or iPad. The only application that you will be not allowed to delete (and why would you want to) is the Settings App. news Also Read: 5 Best iPhone Deals Under Rs 80,000 To Must Try

What is changing for iPhones?

Specifically in the European Union, Apple is also bringing a major change to the browser choice screen. For example, Apple will show you a list of browsers again even if you have already seen the same in the past. The reason behind the same is that Apple wants to ensure that the users have gone through all the options and keep a check for the new ones coming to the device as well.

The previous version of the browser choice screen didn’t have additional information related to third-party browsers. This time, Apple is also bringing that to the masses. It could be dubbed good news for the developers that Apple is going to share the choice screen data so that they can move performance enhancement to the browsers as per the stats.

And that’s not it, a report by Android Authority suggested that Apple will bring more customization features to the iPhones by the Spring of 2025, including specifications for the translation and navigation apps. Most of these changes will be limited to the EU in the beginning. However, chances are that we will get to see these features globally in the same fashion as USB Type-C ports.
