Acer launches its first Copilot+ PC, the Swift 14 AI laptop: Check specs, price

Acer has announced its first laptop with Copilot+ PC in the global market. Microsoft announced the Copilot+ PC branding at the Microsoft Build 2024 this week. Laptops and PCs that come with built-in AI hardware are termed Copilot+ PCs, and the new Acer Swift 14 AI laptop is exactly that. The laptop is powered by Snapdragon X Elite/X Plus processors – both are AI-ready chips. It features a metal body and has a 14.5-inch IPS display. The laptop runs on Windows 11 OS. Acer Swift 14 AI specifications and features

The Acer Swift 14 AI features a thin and light chassis with an AI icon stamped over it. The laptop features a 14.5-inch IPS display with a WQXGA resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. The panel has an edge-to-edge touchscreen on the touchscreen variant. It has a 100 percent sRGB colour gamut. The laptop has a 180-degree hinge, meaning you lay it flat on the table.

The laptop boasts an IR webcam with 1440 QHD resolution support. The webcam’s capability is boosted with AI-boosting conferencing tools available in Acer PurifiedView 2.0 and Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0, enabling improved camera and microphone output.

Powering the laptop is the Qualcomm Snapdragon X series chipset. There are two processor models available – the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 and Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100. The former is a 12-core chip while the latter is a 10-core processor. As for the graphics, the laptop relies on Qualcomm’s Adreno GPU with up to 3.8 TFLOPS.

Since it’s a Copilot+ PC, it comes with Windows Hello that supports biometric and facial recognition login. The laptop has a 75Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery with fast charging support. It is advertised to offer video playback of up to 26 hours and web browsing of up to 18 hours. The laptop boots on Windows 11 for ARM64.

As for connectivity, the laptop has Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. It has the following ports: 2x USB Type-C (Display Port, charging), 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-a port, and an audio jack. The laptop comes with a backlit keyboard including a dedicated Microsoft Copilot Key.

Acer Swift 14 AI price and availability

The Acer Swift 14 AI laptop will be available in North America in July, priced at USD 1,099 (roughly Rs 91,500). It will also be available in the European markets in June for  EUR 1,499 (roughly Rs 1,35,100). Unfortunately, there’s no word on the India availability of the laptop.
