Almost all telecom companies boast their 5G networks are beefy and cover every nook and corner of the city, but customers know that that is not entirely true. There is always that area or location where the network is spotty. Not only are the network signals in that area weak for the internet, but also for calls. And that can be annoying, especially if you have subscribed to a more premium postpaid connection from your network operator. That is when Wi-Fi calling comes into the picture.
Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vi, all telecom companies urge their customers to enable Wi-Fi calling on their smartphones to ensure no call drops even in that corner of your house where the signals are the weakest. Although the functionality’s name is Wi-Fi calling, it enhances signals for texting and video calls through your mobile phone carrier services. As the name suggests, Wi-Fi calling utilises your home Wi-Fi network to increase cellular reception on your phone, and enabling it on your phone is quite easy. Here is how to do it.
