There is an app for every service you want. Food delivery? There are apps for it. Social media? Several platforms and their respective apps are available for iOS and iPadOS. Banking needs? Your bank most likely has an app for them, as well. The bottom line is that you download tens of apps on your iPhone or iPad without even realising that your phone’s storage is almost full. Many times you are not even using all the apps on your iPhone. Maybe it is time to let go of those apps and have only those you need. You can uninstall an app on your iPhone or iPad in simple steps. Here are two ways to do that:
From the iPhone and iPad Home Screen:
- Find the app you want to remove on your iPhone’s or iPad’s home screen.
- Tap and hold the app icon of the app you want to delete until all the apps on the home screen start jiggling.
- Now, you will see a small “minus” sign (-) on the top left corner of the app icon. Tap that.
- A pop-up menu will appear with two options: “Remove App” and “Delete App.”
- “Remove App” will only take the app icon off the Home Screen, but the app and its data will still be on your device. You can find it in the App Library.
- “Delete App” will completely remove the app and its data from your device.
- Choose the “Delete App” option to completely uninstall the app from your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap “Delete” again to confirm and the app will be entirely deleted from the device.
From the App Library:
- Open the App Library by swiping to the right on your iPhone or iPad’s home screen.
- Find the app you want to uninstall by either scrolling to the app or searching it.
- Tap and hold the app icon until a menu pops up.
- Select the “Delete App” option from the pop-up menu.
- Tap “Delete” again to remove the app entirely.
