Hide your Status from specific WhatsApp contacts

It is a simple process where WhatsApp allows you to choose contacts that are on the platform and put them on a blocklist just for your Status. This would hide your Status from those contacts without notifying them, so they will never know if you posted something unless someone who could see it shows the Status to them. Steps to Hide Status

Open WhatsApp and go to the Status tab.
Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner and select Privacy.
Choose My contacts except….
Select the contacts you want to hide your status from. You can use the search bar to find specific contacts easily.
Tap the checkmark icon to save your changes.

Now, when you post a Status, it will be visible to everyone on your contacts except the people you just chose from the phonebook.

Show your Status to specific WhatsApp contacts

More than often, you want only certain people on your list to see your Status. This is essentially an extension of the previous feature that allows you to hide your Status from everyone except the chosen contacts. These contacts will be the only ones who can see your Status while others cannot. Think of it like WhatsApp’s version of Instagram Close Friends.
