Ever come across a fun Reel on Instagram that you just can’t find again? You scroll and scroll, but it’s gone. Well, Instagram has finally fixed that problem with a new feature called Watch History. This new option lets you go back and check out all the Reels you’ve recently watched – just like YouTube’s watch history. However, the Watch History feature is still new, but it’s a handy addition for anyone who spends time scrolling through Reels.  news Also Read: You Can Now Edit Instagram Stories With Meta AI: Here’s How It Works

The feature has started rolling out for both Android and iPhone users and can be found inside the app’s settings. news Also Read: Instagram Launches Limited-Edition Diwali Filters: Here’s How To Use Them

It’s useful if you forgot to save or share a Reel but now want to revisit it. You no longer need to send videos to yourself or hunt through your DMs.

How to Check Your Watch History on Instagram

Checking your Instagram Watch History is quite simple. Here’s how:

  • First of all, open Instagram and go to your profile.
  • Tap the three-line menu (☰) on the top right.
  • Go to Your Activity.
  • And then tap Watch History.
  • Note, Instagram’s Watch History isn’t just a simple list. You can filter what you see in a few ways:

By Date: Pick a specific date or date range (say, “last week” or “last month”).

By Account: Remember who posted that Reel? You can filter your history by creator name.

By Order: Choose whether to view from oldest to newest or the other way around.

And if there’s something you don’t want to keep in your history, you can remove Reels individually or clear them all at once. That’s it. You’ll now see the list of Reels you’ve watched. By default, they’re sorted from newest to oldest, but you can change that too.
