Samsung seems to be rethinking its AI strategy for its upcoming smartphone, especially for its Galaxy S26 Series. As per the recent report, the tech giant could say goodbye to Google’s Gemini and bring Perplexity AI to the table. Samsung might be exploring a deeper partnership with Perplexity AI, which is a rising AI-powered search engine.

Perplexity AI is basically known for its real-time web results and clear citations. If reports are to be true and talks go through, Perplexity could become the default AI assistance on Samsung Galaxy devices. This will not just happen for smartphones, but also in company’s native browser and possibly on its deeper ecosystem.

Why Perplexity Could Be a Better Fit Than Gemini

Google’s flagship AI model, Gemini is integrated amazingly in a large amount of Android services. However, Samsung hasn’t been shying away about experimenting with its own Galaxy AI features. Earlier this year, the tech giant incorporated features like live translation and generative editing. Most of these features are powered by a mix of Samsung’s own tools and Google’s AI.

Nevertheless, Gemini hasn’t always impressed users in terms of speed, accuracy, and transparency. But Perplexity AI, on the other hand, is more focused and delivers quick answers with sources linked directly. This is one of the main reasons that Samsung is planning to bring Perplexity AI for its utility and openness.

What This Could Mean for Galaxy Users

If Perplexity AI comes to Samsung devices, then it will surely change how these devices handle queries, summarize content, or perform voice interactions. If Samsung makes the switch, Galaxy users will start seeing the Perplexity AI embedded within their browser.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Might Come with Perplexity AI:

Samsung is planning to bring Perplexity AI to its Galaxy S26 series. As per Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the tech giant will preload the Galaxy S26 with Perplexity AI and its search assistant will also be backed into Samsung’s browser.

It’s still early, and nothing is confirmed but Samsung’s interest in Perplexity signals clearly that AI race is no longer about who has the biggest model, rather than who offers the smartest and best on.
