Googles Gemini AI is now free to use in Gmail and Docs

Google Workpsace suite users can now enjoy the Gemini AI functionality on Meet, Gmail, Docs, and Sheets for free. Previously, the access for Gemini on all the mentioned services was limited to the users who had Google One AI Premium subscriptions. Google has hiked the prices of the Workspace subscription as well

Apart from offering the services for free, Google has hiked up the plan prices of the Workspace suite by $2 per month. The updated subscription price is $14 a month. This could be a result of all that Google is now offering with the subscription and the way it is continuously adding more tools. Coming to the Gemini-backed AI features, it work on streamlining the regular operations over the Workspace suite on a daily basis. People can use the tool for writing enhancement in Docs, email summarization, and even work with the Gemini chatbot. On the other hand, the paid Workspace users will get additional tools like Gemini Advanced that operate on generative AI models, and advanced image and video generation along with access to NotebookLM Plus which is a research tool.
