Google Workpsace suite users can now enjoy the Gemini AI functionality on Meet, Gmail, Docs, and Sheets for free. Previously, the access for Gemini on all the mentioned services was limited to the users who had Google One AI Premium subscriptions. For your information, the subscription is available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 1,950 per month.

Jerry Dischler, president of cloud applications at Google, said that AI is foundational to the future of work and its power should be available to every business and employee at affordable prices. This is the main reason why the company has decided to offer the best capabilities of Google AI in Workspace Business and Enterprise plans.

Google has hiked the prices of the Workspace subscription as well

Apart from offering the services for free, Google has hiked up the plan prices of the Workspace suite by $2 per month. The updated subscription price is $14 a month. This could be a result of all that Google is now offering with the subscription and the way it is continuously adding more tools.

Coming to the Gemini-backed AI features, it work on streamlining the regular operations over the Workspace suite on a daily basis. People can use the tool for writing enhancement in Docs, email summarization, and even work with the Gemini chatbot. On the other hand, the paid Workspace users will get additional tools like Gemini Advanced that operate on generative AI models, and advanced image and video generation along with access to NotebookLM Plus which is a research tool.
