Share Telegram is back with new features, this time it’s adding 15 new features and changes to the app. Starting from Recommended Channels to the ability to manage reactions, here are all the new Telegram features you need to know about.
Telegram has added a new ‘Channels’ tab in the search interface that shows all the channels you follow. Further, it also recommends some channels you can follow. This change is coming with the newest update.
Settings now have a ‘My Profile’ section that lets you view your profile as it appears to others. In addition to this, users can now add their birthday to their profile. This way your friends can know when to wish you.
You can now also add your Telegram channel to your profile page. On your profile, users will be able to see your channel as well as the latest updates shared on it with a glimpse. Another change coming to the profiles is the ability to link collectible usernames. Tapping on someone’s collectible username or anonymous number will show extra information about the collectible of the user.
Telegram users can now share their live location with individual users or entire group chats, allowing others to follow someone’s journey. Users can also set the time of location sharing such as 15 minutes, 1 hour, 8 hours, etc.
Telegram will now notify you when someone reacts to your messages. You can enable reaction alerts on the Notifications page. Here’s how to access it: Settings > Notifications and Sounds > Reactions.
Telegram will now display profile pictures of users in forwarded messages. This allows other users to link back to the message sender’s account. However, users can limit who can link back to their account and your profile picture won’t appear in forwarded messages.
Admins can save their time when moderating a group chat. They can mass moderate groups in one go. For instance, they can report, delete, and ban different users altogether with just a press of a button.
Telegram Premium users can now include animated and custom emojis in polls. This is a small yet noticeable change that is welcomed.
More features for the premium users include Reaction Management which lets users manage the maximum number of relations on a post. If you are a Telegram Premium user, you can now view stories anonymously. Further, premium users can now unhide ads and earn rewards.
Apart from this, Telegram has made some other small changes. They are as follows: Compact recent actions in groups and instant view on the Telegram desktop app.
