
Snapchat is also joining the AI features party with a complete revamp and a simplified user interface. Snapchat, alongside the fifth-generation spectacles has announced a plethora of new features for the Snapchat application. Though the updates are still under work, they are available for a group of users and will soon reach the stable version of the application.
Snapchat is releasing AI-powered features including a new lens that will let the users see AI-generated versions of their old self. Apart from that, AI will be added to Memories for all the Snapchat Plus subscribers. The AI will be able to generate captions and apply lenses. Another addition that the users will get to see on Snapchat is that they will be able to add more accessories to their Bitmoji self.
As of now, Snapchat is testing an updated version of the application that removes multiple tabs from the bottom. The previous number which was five has now been cut down to three. The three new tabs are Messaging, Camera, and a new ‘For You’ discovery feed where you will get to see the content published by other creators on the platform.
As for the creators, Snapchat is bringing a new feature called a simplified profile that allows the user to switch between public and personal accounts. Furthermore, the application has also introduced the ability to pin Snaps at the top of Public Profile pages.
Snapchat has also dropped the fifth-generation Snapchat Spectacles that run on the latest SnapOS. Users can use them to interact with their surroundings with a hint of Augmented Reality. The latest OS by Snapchat also supports voice commands and hand gestures. Apart from that, Snapchat is collaborating with OpenAI to take AI integration to the take next level.
