Instagram has rolled out a new feature that lets users restrict their lives and reels with a select group of friends. As of now, when users share a new reel or a live via their Instagram handles, it is visible to all of their followers. But now, users will be able to restrict their lives and reels to their Close Friends. For the unversed, Instagram launched the Close Friends feature back in 2018 as a way for users to connect with their closest friends or family members. Step 2: Tap the plus button on the bottom menu.

Step 3: Select the Live option.

Step4: Select Close Friends from the top Share With menu. Alternatively, select Close Friends from the pop-up half-page.

Step 5: Add other Live settings in IG Live.

Step 6. Tap Done.

Here’s how to share reels to Close Friends:

Step 1: Open Instagram on your smartphone.

Step 2: Create your reel.

Step 3: Before you share your reel, tap Audience.

Step 4: When asked who would you like to share your reel with, select Close Friends.

Step 4: Tap Done.

Multiple Collabs

Instagram is also getting the option to collaborate with multiple creators. “If your friends accept your collaboration invite, the number of people who can see your content will increase,” Instagram wrote in a blog post.

Step 2: Create your Reel.

Step 3: Before you share your Reel, tap Tag people.

Step 4: Hit Invite Collaborators option.

Step 5: Add up to 5 collaborators.

Step 6: Select Share and you’re done.
