Instagram Notes has received some cool new features, making it more interactive and engaging. Meta shared the update revealing that followers can now like your notes. Additionally, you can mention your friends in notes and get them engaged in telling you about their current mood. With the new features, Meta-owned Instagram wants users to stay engaged on their app for longer. Let’s see more details about the features and how you can access them. Instagram Notes was one of the features that didn’t really feel enticing at launch. However, as Meta kept focusing on it, it allowed users to share songs and short videos. Starting with the prompts. If you are creating a new note to share on Notes, you can now ask people about their current moods to which they can reply. This will fuel conversations and keep people engaged. You should see everyone’s response to your question in a tabular format akin to how you see it for Stories for polls and questions. Next up, your followers can like your notes. So far, users were only able to see notes and do nothing about it, other than replying. Now, however, followers can like your note just like it’s for Instagram Stories. By the way, a reminder that your notes are only visible to those followers whom you follow.
Lastly, Notes users can now mention their friends or followers. That said, you can now let people know that you are handing out with your buddies by tagging them.
All of these features should be visible once you update the Instagram app to the latest version. To use these features, you simply need to put up a new note from the DMs section.
In other news about Instagram, the app received a new feature that lets you limit interactions on the platform. The new limits feature will let you choose what to limit and who to limit. This means that people who are limited from interacting with you won’t be able to tag you or share reels with you. However, close friends will still be able to tag and interact with you. So, if you don’t want even that to happen, your only option is to remove such people from your close friend list, limiting them from interacting with you.
