Flipkart has finally launched its quick commerce service called Flipkart Minutes. It will join established platforms such as Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket’s BB Now, and Zepto. However, the pilot service is currently live in select areas of Bengaluru, as reported by several residents who confirmed Flipkart Minutes is offering ‘lightning-fast’ deliveries for a range of items, from groceries to electronics and even smartphones in under 16 minutes. news Also Read: Flipkart Big Billion Days 2025: iPhone 17, Galaxy S24 To Be Delivered In 10 Minutes Via Flipkart Minutes

The new quick commerce service was previously available to Flipkart employees on a trial basis. But it is now available to the general public in select Bengaluru areas. According to many users who took to X to confirm the service’s availability, Flipkart Minutes is delivering vegetables, fruits, daily essentials, smartphones, and more within minutes. They likened the service to the likes of Blinkit, which claims to deliver products in under 10 minutes. news Also Read: Blinkit-AI Secures $1.2M Seed Funding To Simplify AI For Businesses

Economic Times has reported that Flipkart would expand the service to more areas in Bengaluru “over the next few weeks.” However, there is no clarity on when Flipkart Minutes will be available in other cities. Leading services such as Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart are available in most tier-1 and tier-2 cities in the country. news Also Read: iPhone 17 Series To Arrive At Your Door In Just 10 Minutes Via Blinkit

The report also highlighted Flipkart’s plans to bolster its quick commerce network by operating around 100 dark stores during the upcoming festive season. On the other hand, Blinkit announced plans to expand the network to take the total number of dark stores to 2,000 by 2026. This is an addition to the company’s previous plan to operate 1,000 dark stores by March 2025. Similarly, Zepto plans to expand the network to include 700 dark stores by March 2025.

With Flipkart’s foray into the quick commerce space, all major e-commerce and hyperlocal platforms are competing to deliver products within minutes. However, Amazon seems to be uninterested in competing in this space. While it does not have a quick commerce service in its kitty, Amazon operates Amazon Fresh in select cities to deliver groceries and other essential items on the same day.
