Nothing Ear, Ear (a) launched with 11mm drivers and ChatGPT AI integration: Check price

Nothing has launched two new TWS earbuds in India. Nothing Ear is a successor to the Nothing Ear (2), whereas, Nothing Ear (a) is the brand’s entry-level wearable. Both TWS earbuds come with impressive features like 11mm drivers, different ANC profiles, and Ingress protection. One of the notable highlights of the earbuds is the support for OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice.

Nothing Ear, Ear (a) India price

Nothing Ear is priced at Rs 11,999 (launch price with offers – Rs 10,999) and comes in the classic White and Black colour options. The Nothing Ear (a) is comparatively cheaper, priced at Rs 7,999 (launch price with offers – Rs 5,999). It comes in Yellow, which is first for Nothing as we have seen only monochrome shades for Nothing devices. It can also be purchased in White and Black.

The Ear (a) will be available for purchase from April 22 on Flipkart, Croma, and Vijay Sales. Ear TWS buds will go on sale later on April 29 on Flipkart and at the same retail channels.

Nothing Ear features

Nothing Ear is a successor to Nothing Ear (2), hence, they both have an identical design. However, there are a few internal upgrades. For starters, the ANC has now been improved from 40 dB in the Ear (2) to 45 dB. Users can also customise the mode of ANC from within the app. The earbuds have an extra-thin mic design and the bass has been enhanced, as revealed by the company.

The TWS earbuds feature 11mm drivers offering increased airflow. They have a Ceramic driver material.  Nothing claims that the earbuds can provide 8.5 hours of music listening time without the case and up to 40.5 hours with the case. The earbuds also support fast charging offering up to 10 hours of total playback with 10-minutes of charging.

Nothing has also partnered with folks at OpenAI to offer ChatGPT voice integration. Just like you’d set Google Assistant for your earbuds, you can now set ChatGPT voice. This makes Nothing Ear indirectly have an AI voice assistant, which is cool.

Further, the TWS earbuds come with wireless charging and have features like dual pair. Of course, there are touch controls to play and pause the music. The earbuds also come with LHDC 5.0 and Hi-Res audio.

Nothing Ear (a) features

Nothing Ear (a) is an affordable TWS option. Nothing compared Ear (a) with Ear (1) and it’s a big upgrade. The new TWS earbuds feature 11mm drivers and better battery life. They are also lightweight due to the plastic drivers.

Similar to the Ear, the Ear (a) has up to 45 dB ANC with a frequency range of 5000Hz. The Ear (a) is advertised to offer up to 42.5 hours of battery life with the case and up to 9.5 hours without the case. It has Google fast pair support and an IP55 rating for dust and splash resistance. The earbuds lack LHDC 5.0 support, but come with Hi-Res audio. They also miss out on wireless charging.
