Google is all set to host its annual ‘Made by Google’ event of the year on August 20. The tech giant is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 – a successor to last year’s Pixel Watch 3 – alongside the Pixel 10 series smartphones. Ahead of the official launch next month, the Pixel Watch 4 has become the subject of leaks. A new report has revealed the potential pricing of the upcoming smartwatch for the European market.
As per a leak by French publication Dealabs, the Google Pixel Watch 4 will feature two dial sizes – 41mm and 45mm. Both sizes will come with either Wi-Fi or LTE connectivity. The most affordable Pixel Watch 4 will be a 41mm Wi-Fi version, which is said to be priced at EUR 399 (around Rs 40,000). The 44mm Wi-Fi model, on the other hand, is expected to cost EUR 449 (about Rs 45,000).
Meanwhile, the 41mm LTE version of the Google Pixel Watch 4 could be priced at EUR 499 (roughly Rs 50,000) and the 45mm LTE is reported to cost EUR 549 (around Rs 55,000).
The leak also suggests that the Pixel Watch 4 will go on pre-orders starting from August 20 at 7 PM local time after the Google event. The smartwatch is said to go on sale from August 28.
According to reports, the Google Watch 4 will pack the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset – the same chip that powered the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3. The delay in Qualcomm’s new SW6100 SoC made Google settle with the older chip for the upcoming smartwatch.
The Pixel Watch 4 will be available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. The 41mm option could pack a 327mAh battery, while the 45mm model is expected to pack a 420mAh cell.
The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to support repairability, which the current models lack. This means the user had to replace the watch completely. However, a report states that Google might allow small repairs to be carried out on the Pixel Watch 4.
