Vodafone Idea has officially launched its 5G services in Delhi/NCR starting May 15 2025. The telecom company took a significant step marking a step in its broader 5G rollout across India. The launch earlier happened in cities like Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Patna. Additionally, the company also aims to extend the 5G coverage to all 17 priority circles where it will hold the spectrum by August 2025.

Vodafone Idea Partners with Ericsson:

Vodafone Idea is partnering with Ericsson in order to build its next-generation 5G infrastructure in Delhi/NCR. The network will rely on the higher hardware components along with engineered for energy efficiency. In addition, the service also includes AI-powered Self Organising Network technology that will enhance overall performance. As per report, the company has also adopted a Non-Standalone 5G architecture that will enable users to seamlessly switch between 4G and 5G networks for a more smooth experience.

Introductory Offer:

As part of this introductory offer, Vodafone Idea will offer unlimited 5G data to users with 5G enabled devices. This plan will start from Rs 299 and company promises to deliver ultra fast streaming services. Additionally, there will be low-latency gaming, high-quality video conferencing, faster downloads, and real-time cloud access.

This introductory offer is part of Vodafone Idea’s ambitious Rs 55,000 crore capital expenditure plan that will cover span of three years. The company plans to extend the plan to cities like Bengaluru and Mysuru with expansion already underway in several other key markets. The report further unravels that Mumbai alone is covering 70% of the eligible users that are already using the Vodafone Idea 5G network.

The Vodafone Idea goal is to build a high-capacity and future ready network that supports India’s rapidly evolving and increasing digital landscape. By this the company will positioned itself as a major player in the next-gen mobile connectivity.
