BSNL has a prepaid plan that’s turning heads for its affordability. Priced at Rs 485, the state-run telecom operator is offering a 72-day validity pack that includes unlimited calls, 2GB of data per day, and 100 SMS per day – all at a price point where most private players don’t even offer 30 days of service. news Also Read: BSNL Launches Re 1 Diwali 4G Plan With Free 30-Day Data and Calls: Benefits, Offer Period, How To Activate

The plan is among the most cost-effective long-validity options right now. Once the daily data limit of 2GB is used up, users can continue browsing at 40 Kbps. There are no extra data charges after that – just slower speeds until the next day’s refresh. news Also Read: After 25 Years, BSNL Joins The 4G Race With Pan-India Rollout

BSNL Rs 485 Pack Recharge and Availability

The Rs 485 pack can be recharged using the BSNL Self Care app, or the official BSNL website. The pack is also visible on various payment apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and CRED. This offers consumers a simple way to activate or renew their pack from anywhere. news Also Read: Jio, Airtel Add Over 4 Lakh Users In July; Vodafone-Idea, BSNL See Decline: TRAI

BSNL’s Network Push

BSNL has been stepping up its 4G network expansion lately. Government officials recently confirmed that the company has deployed close to 98,000 4G sites across India. This rollout is still in progress, and preparations for BSNL’s 5G launch are already underway.

Interestingly, even BSNL’s 4G and upcoming 5G networks are being built entirely with Indian technology. Tejas Networks and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) are handling the hardware and core network, while Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is managing system integration and support.

For those who don’t want to spend much but still need long validity, the Rs 485 plan is a practical pick. BSNL keeps it simple – calls, data, and SMS – while also ensuring that you do not have to spend too much, which is exactly what the telecom operator has been known for over the years.
