Airtel data breach: Indian telecom giant, Bharti Airtel, has denied the report, which claims that data of its 375 million subscribers was stolen in a data breach. “There has been a report alleging that Airtel customer data has been compromised. This is nothing short of a desperate attempt to tarnish Airtel’s reputation by vested interests. Airtel data breach: What the report claims?

A report by a cyber security firm FalconFeeds.io claims that a malicious hacker, who goes by the name ‘xenZen’ on the internet has listed an Airtel database for sale on BreachForums, which is a platform where all the hacked data and other related services are sold. The database reportedly contains information of 375 million Airtel customers and the data included in the list includes information such as name, mobile number, date of birth of the customer, father’s name, address, email ID, gender, nationality, Aadhaar details, photo ID proof-related details, and address proof related details among other things. news Also Read: Airtel launches new in-flight roaming packs starting at Rs 195: Check details

Airtel has rebuffed the claims saying that the hacker has not been able to provide any proof for his claim and is using this wrongly to tarnish brand image.
