Clearly, the design is one of the bigger change at the first look. The back now features a dual camera setup along with flash in a squircle camera module, instead of the vertical island.
Powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, the Nord 6 offers better gaming performance, improved thermals, and smoother multitasking. On the other hand, the Nord 5 is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
The OnePlus Nord 6 now gets a 165Hz AMOLED display, up from 144Hz of the Nord 5. The difference isn’t drastic, but it does support smoother UI and gaming. Moreover, both the phones get 6.83-inch AMOLED display.
This is where things stand out. The Nord 6 packs a massive 9000mAh battery, while the Nord 5 packs a 6800mAh battery.
The rear setup remains similar with a 50MP main and 8MP secondary. The selfie camera drops from 50MP to 32MP this time.
It runs on Android 16 with OxygenOS 16. You also get IP68/IP69 rating, Wi-Fi 7, and some added AI features.
The OnePlus Nord 5 was launched at a starting price of Rs 31,999 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage model, while the latest OnePlus Nord 6 costs Rs 38,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant.
If performance and battery matter most, the Nord 6 makes sense. But if you prefer a more balanced setup, the Nord 5 still holds up well.
