The first trailer of the sixth instalment in the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) franchise dropped in December last year, leading to anticipation among enthusiast fans who have followed GTA games ardently. The trailer showed off the characters returning to the game, along with an open world where players can zoom off their cars.
While the GTA 6 trailer did not show off everything, it did give us a peek at the locations and maps coming to the sixth installment of the franchise. These locations are based on real-world locations and simulate a similar experience for players. Among them are Ols Bahia Honda Bridge, Everglades National Park, Venetian Causeway, Miami Beach, and Ocean Drive among others. Let us see how their real-world versions look like.
The trailer shots showed colourful graffiti and street art similar to those in the Wynwood district, located in the north of Downtown Miami and west of Miami Beach. It brings some contrast to the skylines of Vice City and will offer a large play area.
Ocean Drive is a returning location in the sixth installment of the franchise. It is similar to the real-life Ocean Drive in South Beach, Miami where busy road runs between the beach, grassy patches, and the city walkway. The area bustles with various hotels and bars, making for a suitable hangout spot.
The signature beach of the GTA: Vice City will be returning in GTA 6. The Miami Beach and Downtown Miami will be among the most important locations. The Miami Beach is a nine-mile stretch of seaside resorts and the sprawling skyscrapers of Miami.
The Venetian Causeway, which crosses mainland Miami and Miami Beach on a barrier island is a highlight of the upcoming installment. Its recreation in the game will give players an exciting driving route, especially for bike rides.
The trailer had a shot of a boat jetting in wet grasslands. This may be inspired by the Everglades National Park, which is a wildlife reserve that runs spreads across an area of over 1.5 million acres. It is the largest subtropical wilderness in the US.
A shot in GTA 6 trailer, showing boats speeding across the sea, is similar to the distinctive Bahia Old Honda Bridge. It is one of the major waterways in the game, allowing players to hop on a boat and speed to the next destination.
