Coming to the features, macOS 15 Sequoia comes with a new Continuity feature dubbed as ‘iPhone Mirroring’. This feature lets users view what’s on their iPhones and control it without having to reach for it. Additionally, it brings iPhone notifications to supported devices. Users can interact with these notifications even when their iPhones are not around. Users can also move files, photos and videos between their iPhones and Mac seamlessly.

macOS 15 also brings an Easy Window Tiling feature that lets users drag windows to the edge of their screens to effortlessly arrange them into side-by-side tiles on their desktop or place them in corners to keep even more apps in view.

The feature called ‘Presenter Preview’ lets users see exactly what they are going to share in video calling apps, including FaceTime and Zoom — before displaying it for everyone. On the other hand, a feature called ‘Background replacements’ lets users ‘hide the laundry behind you with beautiful built-in backgrounds or your own photos’.

Safari is also getting a major update with macOS 15. Users can now quickly pull up relevant information from any site they are accessing on Safari. A redesigned Reader gives users a high-level summary of the content on the website that they are accessing. Safari will also give users more control over web videos. “When Safari detects a video on a page, Video Viewer helps you put it front and center, while still giving you full access to system playback controls,” Apple says.
