Tecno Pova 6 Pro launch this week: What to expect

Tecno Pova 6 Pro will be the next mid-range smartphone from the company in India. There have been some teasers for the phone’s launch for some days, but Tecno recently revealed that the Pova 6 Pro is coming to India later this week. The Tecno Pova 6 Pro debuted at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, making headlines for a huge battery and a design that surely grabs attention. Back at the MWC reveal, Tecno confirmed the launch will take place in India, among other markets.

According to the company’s announcement, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro launch in India is set for March 29. There will be an event scheduled to kick off at noon. The Pova 6 Pro will be available exclusively on Amazon after the launch, the company has confirmed.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro specifications

Since the announcement of the phone at last month’s MWC, the specifications have become official. Starting with the design, the smartphone has a graphics-heavy design available in two colours: Comet Green and Meteorite Grey. The device features a 6.78-inch punch-hole display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED panel boasts a peak brightness of 1300 nits.

The Tecno Pova 6 Pro has a triple camera system, including a 108MP main lens, a 2MP macro unit, and a 0.08MP auxiliary sensor. It also has a 32MP front-facing camera for taking selfies. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1440p resolution videos at 30fps, while the front camera can record 1080p resolution videos.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 octa-core processor paired with Mali-G57 MC2. It has up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone packs a large 6,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging. It is advertised to go from 0 to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.

For added security, the phone has an under-display fingerprint scanner. It also comes with 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, and GPS connectivity options. Additionally, it has an IR blaster for controlling gadgets around you and a dual-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos audio. The smartphone has an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance and runs on Android 14 OS out of the box with HiOS 14 on top.
