Elon Musk’s Starlink has recently announced direct-to-call satellite communications globally. The main focus of the technology will be to offer network connectivity in areas with no cellular coverage. Starlink has also announced its collaboration with multiple telecom service providers all over the globe. The companies are T-Mobile (US), One NZ (New Zealand), KDDI (Japan), Salt (Switzerland), and Optus (Australia). Starlink is trying to build a whole ecosystem of satellite communications networks. And the device is already live in multiple places. A report published by TweakTown suggested that users are witnessing a speed of 250 to 350Mbps. The satellite communication network by Starlink is expected to cover more countries in the year 2025. SpaceX is indulging in the fast-paced deployment of satellites so that they can cover more countries in the near future. With the integration of satellite communications with mobile networks, the tech supports calling, texting, and data services as well.
