Sennheiser has expanded its premium headphone lineup with the launch of the HDB 630, a new wireless model that builds on the design and sound foundation of the Momentum 4 series. The company said the new headphones are designed for audiophiles who value both precision sound and long listening comfort. The Sennheiser HDB 630 is equipped with a 42mm dynamic driver made at the brand’s Tullamore facility in Ireland. This driver, paired with acoustic tuning and digital processing tools, promises clean mids, natural vocals, and detailed dynamics. The headphones support both wired and wireless playback – via USB-C and Bluetooth 5.2 – with playback capability of up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution through wired mode. For wireless use, the HDB 630 supports aptX Adaptive codec for high-quality streaming, and Sennheiser even includes a USB-C transmitter dongle in the box. This lets users experience high-resolution audio even on devices that don’t support aptX by default – including most modern smartphones and tablets. A major highlight of the HDB 630 is the level of personalisation it offers. Through the Smart Control Plus app, users can tweak audio using a five-band EQ or a full Parametric Equalizer, offering bandwidth and filter control for precise tuning. All custom EQ settings are stored directly on the headphones, so your preferred sound profile stays the same no matter which device or app you’re using.
Sennheiser also mentioned that a future update for the Smart Control Plus app will bring QR-based EQ preset sharing, making it easier for users to share their sound preferences with friends or across devices.
The HDB 630 comes equipped with adaptive noise cancellation that automatically adjusts to your surroundings, along with a transparency mode that lets in ambient sounds when needed. The built-in microphones handle both these functions and voice calls for a clearer communication. The headphones use a sealed over-ear design with Japanese Protein Leatherette cushions, which the company claims are optimised for long-session comfort.
Sennheiser HDB 630 wireless headphones deliver up to 60 hours per charge, and just 10 minutes of fast charging provides around seven hours of playback.
The Sennheiser HDB 630 is priced at $499.95 (approx. Rs 44,400) and will go on sale starting October 21 in select global markets, including the US. Details about its India launch are expected to be announced soon.
