Apple is all set to kick off its highly anticipated event, WWDC 2025 from 9 June to 13 June. The event stands for Worldwide Developers Conference, which is an annual conference hosted by the tech giant. The event covers the latest software developments, new tools for developers, and sometimes even new hardware. Even before the event could start, several rumors and reports suggested some of the biggest announcements Apple could make at its annual WWDC 2025 event.

The lengthy report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed several strategic failures and what went wrong at the time of the launch of Apple Intelligence. He also mentioned about how Apple is mainly focusing on iOS 19 innovations rather than on the long-awaited Siri overhaul.

Here’s Everything We Know So Far:

Apple has been in the news and it made waves when it introduced Apple Intelligence in 2024 which is a new layer of AI built directly into the core of its operating system. To recall, Siri has always been there, serving as Apple’s default voice assistant. One of the most essential questions that lingers since 2024 is that ‘How is Apple Intelligence different from Siri?’ Is Apple replacing Siri entirely? The answer is more layered than you might expect.

The report from Mark Gurman focuses that Apple might distance its Intelligence from Siri entirely and hence the company could take a backseat regarding Siri during this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). To recall, the tech giant planned to integrate several Apple Intelligence features to Siri, but these upgrades have been delayed and are still not available to users.

This means, the company will keep Apple Intelligence separate from Siri due to its underperformance and internal skepticism. Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighiis now hesitating to prioritize AI and he said, “In AI, you don’t know what the product looks like until you’ve invested significantly.”

While Siri surely gets a facelift, but it is no more a standalone focus and hence Apple is reportedly focusing more on bringing AI features and deeper integration of Apple Intelligence into Project Mulberry which is a virtual coach for promoting healthier lifestyle.
