iQOO has launched two new tablets in China, and these could really increase the competition in the market. The iQOO Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro are absolute beasts, featuring flagship-level MediaTek chips, high-refresh-rate displays, massive batteries, and a focus on both play and productivity.
The iQOO Pad 5 rocks a 12.1-inch 2.8K LCD display with a silky-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and up to 900 nits of brightness. Under the hood, it’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. So, whether you’re multitasking or just binge-watching your favorite shows, this tablet is powerful enough to handle anything you throw at it. The multimedia experience gets a boost too, thanks to six built-in speakers.
On the battery front, the iQOO Pad 5 packs a massive 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support which is plenty to keep you going all day. As for cameras, it offers a decent 5MP front and 8MP rear setup, perfect for video calls or scanning documents on the go.
The iQOO Pad 5 comes in multiple storage variants. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 2,399 (approximately Rs 27,700), while the high-end 16GB + 512GB model comes in at CNY 3,499 (Rs 40,300).
The Pad 5 Pro takes everything from the standard model and kicks it up a notch. It features a massive 13-inch 3.1K (3096 x 2064) LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and eye-care features for marathon viewing sessions.
The best part is that this tablet is powered by the brand-new Dimensity 9400+, MediaTek’s top-tier chip for 2025. Along with that, it packs up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a next-gen cooling system with a massive 40,600 mm² thermal area. It also features an eight speaker setup and a massive 12,050mAh battery to handle all your multimedia needs. Plus, it supports 66W fast charging to quickly juice up that beast of a battery. On the camera front, you get an 8MP sensor on the front and a 13MP shooter on the rear.
The iQOO Pad 5 Pro starts at CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs 36,900) for the 8GB + 256GB variant and goes up to CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 46,000) for the top-tier 16GB + 512GB model.
The iQOO Pad 5 series has just launched in China, and while there’s no official word yet on an India launch, with the tablet market heating up in India, we could see iQOO diversify its portfolio and bring these tablets to India as well.
