iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro Orders Get Cancelled In Big Billion Days Sale; Buyers Call It A ‘Scam’

Flipkart kicked off its much hyped Big Billion Days sale for all users today, September 23. The sale first went live for Flipkart Black and Plus members a day earlier on September 22. It brings some exciting discounts and deals on Apple flagships from last year – iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. Buyers rushed to the e-commerce platform to grab the devices at the irresistible prices, only to face cancellation hours after placing their orders. iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro Flipkart Orders Cancelled

Flipkart had teased massive discounts on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models during the Big Billion Days sale. The e-commerce platform advertised the effective price of Rs 51,999 for the iPhone 16 (128GB) and Rs 69,999 for the iPhone 16 Pro (128GB). As soon as the early access went live, several buyers rushed to avail the deal on Flipkart. Many managed to place the order at discounted prices and even made the payment, but soon the orders started getting cancelled. The buyers took to X (formerly Twitter) to vent out the frustration, calling the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale a ‘scam’ and just a ‘marketing gimmick.’ Also Read: Not A Fan Of iPhone? A user posted on X, “Flipkart #BigBillionDays looks like a big FRAUD. Accept orders at night, cancel in the morning, block money, delay refunds. Customers deserve answers! #FlipkartScam #bigbilliondays2025.” Another wrote, “@flipkartsupport @Flipkart Looks like you are making fool of customers, my orders for iphone 16 and iphone 16 pro were placed successfully during the starting of bbd sale and this morning you cancelled both without any reason, what type of scam is this?”

It seems the order cancellation affected other customers as well, who opted for iPhone 14. Many buyers who ordered the iPhone, during the ongoing Flipkart Big Billion Days, also had to face cancellation of their orders.

This issue is being reported by users who placed their orders on September 23 at midnight. According to the posts on X, some of the users were able to buy and receive the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max in early access. Those who availed the Flipkart Minutes service also got their devices delivered to them in time.
