The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team issued an advisory for Windows and Mac users. The government highlighted security flaws for Windows PC, Macs, and Linux devices. Additionally, there are multiple vulnerabilities including malicious bugs that could potentially exploit the older version of software.
CERT has classified these vulnerabilities as high risk impacting Android, Linux, macOS and Windows operating systems. The security risks have been discovered by external security researchers which resulted into Google updating all applications including Chrome versions 132.0.6834.110/111 for Windows and Mac, 132.0.6834.110 for Linux, and 132.0.6834.122 for Android. The tech giant will roll out the update in coming days and weeks.
Chromebook users are also advised to update their devices to the latest version of ChromeOS. This will ensure that the security is not compromised even if they are affected by these vulnerabilities. CERT says that all users should soon update their devices in order to mitigate the high risk associated with these sensitivity.
These security risks will not only compromise your personal data but it will also hamper the authenticity of these data. Google identified high potential risks in out-of-bounds memory access in V8 and in navigation settings. In addition, the risk also involves hampering payments, extensions, and composting.
As per CERT, Chrome is currently facing CIVN-2025-0007 and CIVN-2025-0008 vulnerabilities with a severity rating of high to critical.
