Nothing Phone (3a) Pro (7)

After the successful launch of the Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro, everyone is eagerly awaiting the Phone 3. Nothing has been testing the flagship for a while but has kept all the details under wraps. There was very little known about the upcoming flagship until now.

Yesterday, after The Android Show: I/O Edition, Carl Pei officially teased the Nothing Phone 3. The announcement came via a video posted to Android’s official YouTube channel, where Nothing CEO Carl Pei teased the upcoming device while holding a blurred-out phone. Pei had earlier teased that the Nothing Phone 3 could in Q3 on his official twitter(Now X) handle. Here’s everything you need to know about Nothing’s upcoming true flagship.

Nothing Phone 3 Design and Display

The Nothing Phone 3 will mostly keep the brand’s signature design language with a transparent rear panel and the signature Glyph Interface. This unique design element has become the hallmark of the brand, and the Phone 3 will continue that tradition while adding more premium materials as this would be the company’s ultimate flagship.

The Phone 3 could feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED LTPO display and give a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and could also upgrade the brightness to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring it’s visible even in direct sunlight.

Nothing Phone 3 Performance

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 3 is expected to pack a punch with either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the 8s Gen 4 processor. Most likely, we could see the 8s Gen 4, as it would help keep costs in check while still delivering an almost flagship-like experience. Nothing could also double down on camera improvements, which has been a key focus with the Nothing 3A and 3A Pro as well.

The Phone 3 is also expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging and 20W wireless charging. We might see the use of new silicon-carbon battery tech, especially since their more affordable CMF Phone 2 Pro already uses it. This would help keep the phone slim and sleek while still fitting in a large battery.

On the software side, we could see Nothing introduce some AI features as well. Carl Pei has previously mentioned that the company is testing AI capabilities for its phones, and we might finally see these features finally make it to their upcoming true flagship. We can expect innovations like Circle to Search, Smart Drawer, and voice transcription to make their way to Nothing OS.

There’s also a rumour about a custom AI assistant designed to elevate the user experience that Nothing might introduce with their Phone 3. While little is known about these features for now, Nothing might play it safe by rolling them out gradually based on user feedback, and improve them over time.

Nothing Phone 3 Camera

For photography, the Phone 3 is expected to feature a 50MP triple rear camera system, offering great versatility for all your photo and video needs. We’ve already seen Nothing use two 50MP sensors in the Phone 3A Pro, and for their true flagship, they might upgrade the ultrawide camera to 50MP as well, delivering the best camera experience yet for Nothing users. For selfies, the Phone 3 might sport a 32MP front-facing camera, ensuring high-quality selfies and smooth video calls.

Nothing Phone 3 Pricing

In the recent Android Show: I/O Edition, Carl Pei revealed that the Nothing Phone 3 will be priced at around £800. In India, the Phone 3 is likely to be priced between Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000. Considering the upgrades over the Nothing Phone 2, the pricing seems fair and in line with the value the upcoming Phone 3 promises to offer.
