Adobe just dropped a major update to its Express platform at the MAX London creativity conference, and it’s all about enhancing content creation with AI. Whether you’re a pro editor or a solo content creator, these new tools are built to make high-quality videos, animations, and content faster and easier than ever. There are a bunch of new AI-powered goodies. The highlight is Clip Maker, which can auto-pick shareable moments from longer content like podcasts, interviews, or YouTube videos. It also adds captions and reframes the clips, making them social media-ready. Another interesting feature is Generate Video, which creates background footage and b-roll using a bit of text or an image. This is great for anyone looking to perfect their videos without the budget to purchase stock footage eliminating worry about any copyright claims. Some other upgrades include Enhance Speech, which cleans up audio by cutting out background noise. Video Self-Record lets you shoot directly inside the app, while Drop Zone compiles clips into seamless sequences, and Scene View makes it easy to rearrange and edit video clips for quicker editing. For the designer, Adobe Express has rolled out some slick new tools to speed things up. Now with Generate Similar, designers can take a single image and instantly spin it into a full collection of on-brand visuals, all powered by Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly AI models. With Dynamic Animation there is an addition of motion effects like wind and wobble to static graphics, making everything feel more alive. Plus, 30+ fresh filters pulled straight from Photoshop are now built into Express, giving visuals an extra layer of professional look.
Adobe says Express is growing fast, with a 50% spike in business users and an 85% surge in student use of premium tools. Big-name collaborations with the NFL, EA Sports, and Google are also helping push the platform further into the mainstream. The best part is that most features are already live on the web version of Adobe Express, with some also available on mobile. It’s still free to use, and Creative Cloud users get all the premium features baked in.
These upgrades clearly show that Adobe aims to lead the creative space, with generative AI shaping the future of fast and flexible content creation.
