Samsung is going to make yet another edition to its fold series with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. A recent report by Android Headlines shared the leaks of the phone and suggested that it will be Samsung’s thinnest foldable smartphone until now. For your information, Samsung has never launched a Special Edition device in its foldable segment and this is going to happen for the first time.
Reports also mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE will measure around 4.9mm in the unfolded state. Visibly, the smartphone is thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Furthermore, the camera island in the device seems to be entirely different from the other phones of the series. It has a rectangular camera island with the sensors placed in a vertical line. Previous rumors have it that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will have a 200MP primary sensor at the back.
In addition, the smartphone will also sport a 5MP under-panel sensor integrated into the foldable screen. In the leaked image, it can also be seen that the device will come include a brushed metal design. Nonetheless, it has not been confirmed until now that if it is really brushed metal or a glass panel with a brushed metal-like finish under it.
As for the color of the device, it looks similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s Crafted Black color variant. All other information regarding the smartphone like processor, color variants, and RAM options, are still under wraps. Speculations are that we will get to know more about the same as soon as there is an official announcement from Samsung.
