Samsung has been consistent in terms of upgrades in performance and cameras with the flagship S-series. However, what else has been consistent is the battery! It looks like Samsung is finally listening to long-time Galaxy Ultra users. According to the latest leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G might come with a bigger battery and faster charging, something users have been asking for since 2020. Despite several upgrades, the last few Ultra models have been stuck with the same 5000mAh battery and 45W fast charging, but that could change next year. As per a tipster on X (formerly Twitter), @chunvn8888, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G may feature a 5500mAh battery paired with 65W fast charging. If this turns out to be true, this will mean a 10% boost in battery size and up to a 45% jump in charging speed compared to the current model. The previous Galaxy S25 Ultra also packs a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging support. Also Read: An Era Of Ultra-Thin Smartphones? Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra May Get Design Cues From Galaxy S25 Edge

While the details are still scarce, the leaks hint at some crucial upgrades. Apart from the battery and charging updates, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G is also expected to bring upgrades across the board. Some previous reports suggest it will get a new Sony 1/1.1-inch sensor for the main camera while maintaining the 200MP resolution. The telephoto lens could also get a jump from 10MP to 12MP.
On the performance side, the phone is likely to run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Elite chipset with up to 16GB RAM. Talking about the design-wise, the S26 Ultra might also be slimmer and lighter. If these leaks turn out to be accurate, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G could bring some true upgrades, especially in the battery department.
However, we suggest you take the information with a pinch of salt as the launch is still way too far and the details are based on leaks and rumours.
