Samsung is gearing up to release its next flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G, projected to be in early 2026. With the leaks and rumors continuing, the smartphone is expected to bring a powerhouse in design, performance, and camera features; thus is a formidable competitor to other high-end smartphones, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G is likely to start at around Rs 1,59,999 for the base variant in India. The device may offer 12GB of RAM with multiple storage options, including 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The final pricing will depend on the storage variant chosen by the buyer, keeping the phone firmly in the premium segment.
Samsung is said to bring subtle design changes to the S26 Ultra. The smartphone can be 0.4mm thinner than its predecessor and possibly have a redesigned camera island to support larger sensors, substituting the floating camera ring. The device is likely to maintain the overall style of elegance but become more ergonomic.
For display, the S26 Ultra might have a 6.9-inch M14 OLED with Colour-on-Encapsulation (CoE) technology. The brightness could be up to 3000 nits, and this will allow the screen to be seen in broad daylight. The display is also equipped with a privacy option known as Flex Magic Pixel that can be used to darken the display whenever sensitive material is needed.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage. This combination should ensure smooth performance, multitasking, and gaming capabilities. The device is likely to retain a 5,000mAh battery, with better efficiency due to the new chipset and display, and could support 60W fast charging.
The S26 Ultra will have a four-camera system with a 200MP primary, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP telephoto, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It is also rumored that the front camera is 12MP, with high-quality selfies and video calls. Such an arrangement must improve low-light photography and offer flexibility in shooting.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G promises to be a feature-packed flagship, with design refinements, cutting-edge performance, and advanced camera capabilities. As Samsung prepares for its early 2026 launch, the S26 Ultra is expected to attract tech enthusiasts and professionals looking for a premium smartphone experience.
