Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: Here's everything we know so far

Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to launch in the next 6-7 months. Ahead of it, some key details of the device were surfaced recently. The next Ultra smartphone will have several changes over the existing model, starting from a flat screen to the new One UI 7, which will seemingly be inspired by iOS 18. Let’s see everything we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra expected specifications

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the top-of-the-line model in the Galaxy S25 series. The Ultra model will bring in a couple of changes, mostly in the design department and operating system. Starting with the former, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is tipped to feature a fully flat-screen panel with rounded corners. The device may have flat sides akin to the vanilla S-series models. The panel on the phone could be a large punch-hole screen with a 1Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. The bezels on the device may be super slim to make it more appealing.

As for the cameras, Samsung may not make any major differences, keeping the quad-camera system placed similarly to the S24 Ultra. The device will likely have a 200MP sensor, a telephoto lens, an ultrawide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens. The periscope lens may have 5x optical zoom support and expect 100x or better hybrid zoom. Details about the selfie camera are unclear at the moment.

Coming to the performance, the device may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, as per the leaker Digital Chat Station. The device may have 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. As per the latest report, Samsung may keep the battery unchanged, i.e a 5,000mAh unit. It may have a 45W fast charging support, but it’s high time Samsung upgrades the fast charging speed as Chinese makers have set on 100W-120W chargign speeds.

One notable change will be the operating system. It will run on One UI 7 out of the box, however, as per the early builds, the UI is inspired by iOS 18. It has a similar icon style for some icons and the control center is a bit updated. However, we will have to wait and see how it that turns out. Apart from this, the device will also likely come with S Pen support.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra launch timeline

It’s been 6 months since Samsung launched the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra in India. That said, we can expect its next iteration, the Galaxy S25 Ultra to arrive in in next 6-7 months. So expect January or February as a release timeline.
