Samsung has introduced its Galaxy A17 5G smartphone, succeeding the Galaxy A16 5G, in select markets. In terms of hardware, the device is quite similar to its predecessor. The Galaxy A17 5G sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the octa-core Exynos 1330 chipset, which also powered the Galaxy A16 5G in some markets. The chipset is paired with a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. For photography, the Galaxy A17 5G features a dual camera setup on the rear headlined by a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. It is accompanied by a 2MP macro lens with an f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 13MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats. In Europe, the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G price starts at €239 (approx. Rs 24,500) for the base 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The handset will also be offered in a 6GB RAM + 256GB storage option.

The Galaxy A17 5G is available for pre-order through the Samsung Store in select regions. The handset comes in three colour options – Black, Blue, and Grey.
