After a few days of teasing the Redmi 15 in India, the Xiaomi sub-brand has finally announced the launch date for the 7,000mAh battery smartphone. Redmi has also revealed key details about the upcoming device’s camera, processor, and charging technology. The Redmi 15 is confirmed to be available through Amazon and a microsite is now live on the platform. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Redmi budget phone.

Redmi 15 5G India Launch Date, Colour Options
Redmi India took to X to announce that its upcoming smartphone – the Redmi 15 5G – will launch in the country on August 19. The Redmi 15 5G will be available for purchase through the e-commerce platform Amazon in India.

Redmi 15 5G Specifications, Features
Xiaomi’s official website reveals that the Redmi 15 5G will pack a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that offers 18W reverse charging. With a 1 percent charge in Hibernation Mode, it is claimed to deliver up to 13.5 hours of battery life.
The Redmi 15 5G will sport a 6.9-inch with up to 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the handset will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip. It will run Android 15-based Xiaomi HyperOS 2 with integrated Google Gemini and AI features like Circle to Search.
For photos and videos, the Redmi 15 will feature a 50MP dual AI camera setup on the rear. The phone will feature a Royal Chrome Design with segment’s only aerospace-grade metal island for cameras.

The Redmi 15 is also rumoured to offer 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage. It is said to come with 33W wired fast charging support. In terms of build, it could come with IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. On the front, the Redmi 15 could house an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.
