Realme is launching a new smartphone later this month, and the main feature is its massive battery. The company has teased that the upcoming handset will pack a “1x000mAh” battery, which suggests it will offer a minimum battery capacity of 10,000mAh or more. In addition to the monster battery, the phone will likely also provide a faster wired charging technology, making it one of Realme’s most powerful devices yet. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Realme confirmed that the phone will debut on August 27. The teaser mentions “1x000mAh,” which leaves the exact figure a mystery, but it indicates a battery larger than 10,000mAh. Another teaser also hinted at the brand’s focus on fast charging technology alongside the oversized battery. Also Read: Realme Partners With Ricoh Imaging For GT 8 Pro Camera System

Earlier this year, Realme had showcased a GT concept phone with a 10,000mAh battery and support for 320W fast charging. That device was under 8.5mm thick, weighed just over 200 grams, and featured a semi-transparent back. It was built with what Realme called ‘Mini Diamond’ architecture, a design that optimises internal components to fit such a large cell.
Realme has already demonstrated its 320W SuperSonic Charge technology, which can charge a phone from 0 to 100 percent in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Even a one-minute charge is said to add up to 26 percent battery, while 50 percent can be achieved in just two minutes. If this technology is used in the next phone, it will be a major breakthrough for the smartphone world.
At present, the largest battery on a Realme phone belongs to the GT 7 series in China, which houses a 7,200mAh cell with 100W fast charging. The Indian variant carries a slightly smaller 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging. The upcoming launch is expected to push these numbers even higher.
