
Earlier this week, Poco launched Poco C61 in the Indian market. As the name suggests, the smartphone comes in the entry-level segment and is targeted towards budget buyers. That said, it has 4G connectivity but comes with a slew of features such as a 90Hz screen, an AI camera, and a MediaTek chipset. Starting today, the smartphone will go on sale in the country.
The Poco C61 will go on sale today at 12 PM on Flipkart. This will be the first sale of the phone. It is priced at Rs 7,499 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 8,499.

In today’s sale, buyers can get a Rs 500 coupon, making the effective price of the phone Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,999, respectively. The smartphone can be bought in three colour options – Diamon Dust Black, Ethereal Blue, and Mystical Green.
The Poco C61 sits between the Poco C65 and Poco C55, however, it C61 is priced aggressively. By the looks of it, the Poco C61 appears to be a rebranded Redmi A3, which starts at Rs 7,299.
The smartphone features a 6.71-inch water-drop notch display with an HD+ resolution. The LCD panel has a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and a 180Hz touch sampling rate for quick touch response. The screen has a noticeable chin at the bottom and boasts Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The smartphone has a radiant ring on the back, which is nothing but the camera island holding an 8MP AI camera. It is assisted by a 0.08MP auxiliary sensor. There’s a 5MP camera on the front for selfies. Both cameras are capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps.
It draws power from a MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. It has a PowerVR GE8320 GPU for handling all the graphical work. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery which is expected to last all day long. Since it is a budget phone, it doesn’t have fast charging speeds, but rather relies on a 10W wired charging solution.
The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. It has connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.4. It also has GPS support for navigation. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. It runs on Android 14 OS with MIUI skin on top.
