OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite to launch on June 18 in India: Here's what to expect

It’s been more than a year since OnePlus launched the Nord CE 3 Lite. The smartphone is currently selling for as low as Rs 16,900 on Flipkart. However, we urge you not to buy it right now as its successor is just days away from release. OnePlus has confirmed a smartphone launch next week and it’s most likely the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. You should keep an eye on this one since it will be the most affordable OnePlus phone this year. Let’s see everything we know about the phone so far.

OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite India launch date, expected specifications

OnePlus’s next smartphone is scheduled to go official on June 18. The promotional image shared by the brand doesn’t reveal the exact device, however, it’s most likely the Nord CE 4 Lite. OnePlus calls it “All-day Entertainment Companion” hinting at the battery life and screen of the phone. No further details have been revealed, but we know some of its key highlights, thanks to past leaks.

The OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. It will likely have a 120Hz refresh rate and some sort of protection. The Nord CE 3 Lite has a slightly larger 6.72-inch AMOLED screen.

This time around, OnePlus may use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset replacing the Snapdragon 695 SoC in the existing CE 3 Lite. The smartphone is expected to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It may also have a microSD card slot for storage expandability similar to the Nord CE 3 Lite.

In terms of the optics,  the device may get a new sensor this time. The smartphone is tipped to feature a 50MP main lens. It will be assisted by either an ultrawide lens or auxiliary sensors. The exact camera details are yet to be revealed. Upfront, expect it to have a 16MP or better sensor for selfies.

As for the battery, the smartphone will likely be equipped with a 5,500mAh battery, which will be a big update over the 5,000mAh cell in the existing Nord. The smartphone may have 67W fast charging support.

It will run on Android 14 OS out of the box and have OxygenOS on top. Expect a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. The connectivity options may be refreshed this time.

OnePlus recently launched the Nord CE 4 which succeeds the Nord CE 3. It’s also a big upgrade on paper over the Nord CE 3. It starts at Rs 24,999. Expect Nord CE 4 Lite to be under the Rs 20,o00 price segment.
