OnePlus foldable smartphones expected to debut soon: Report

OnePlus is set to launch two of its much-awaited OnePlus 11 5G and OnePlus 11R 5G. The Chinese tech company is likely to launch its first foldable smartphone. As per tipster Mukul Sharma, the company will launch standard horizontal foldable smartphones like Galaxy Z Fold and Flip smartphones like Galaxy Z Flip.

The tipster further revealed that the company has recently filed two trademarks for foldable phones. The handsets are expected to be named as OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip. However, no further specifications or features of the rumoured smartphones were revealed.

[Exclusive] On top of the “standard” smartphones, tablets, and a big host of other products, there are most certainly plans for OnePlus foldables as well.

Expect the conventional foldables and flip-phones from the brand in the near future.

Last year, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau also hinted that the company is working on a foldable smartphone. Lau had shared two images on Twitter of what looks like a hinge of a foldable display smartphone. “What do you think this is,” he wrote in the post.

Tipster Max Jambor in a rather cryptic tweet last year pointed towards OnePlus debuting its first foldable display smartphone in 2023.

OnePlus’ parent company OPPO is likely to manufacture the two OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip smartphones.

For the unversed, not just OnePlus, but Apple and Google are also expected to delve into the foldable smartphone market finally.

OnePlus is set to host its first launch event of the year on February 7. At the event, the company is likely to launch OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus smart TV, OnePlus Pad and more.
