OnePlus 15R Teased for India Launch With Dual Rear Cameras and Black and Green Color Options

OnePlus is all set to unveil its next mid-range smartphone in India as the company quietly began teasing the arrival of the OnePlus 15R. While the OnePlus 15 series is still fresh in the market, the upcoming 15R seems to be taking the place as the more affordable option for Indian buyers. The visuals of OnePlus 15R are already surfacing online, and it’s starting to take shape as an interesting addition in the company’s mid-range portfolio.

OnePlus 15R India Launch Teased on Official Website

The tech giant has launched a dedicated microsite on its official India website. The microsite confirms that the OnePlus 15R is indeed heading for the India launch. The microsite is live with a tag ‘Power On. Limits Off’. The tagline suggests that the upcoming device will be packed with powerful features, yet in a more affordable option.

Nevertheless, OnePlus has not revealed the exact launch date for the OnePlus 15R, but it still says ‘Coming Soon’, making it clear that the announcement is around the corner.

OnePlus 15R Design and New Color Options

The teaser of the OnePlus 15R reveals the device’s first look in black and green color options. The smartphone is equipped with a dual-camera setup housed within a square-shaped module. It somewhat resembles the design cues of the flagship OnePlus 15. The dual camera setup showcases that the company is making a shift from the triple camera system as compared to the previous OnePlus 13R.

Buttons

The teaser poster also reveals the phone’s buttons situated on the right side of the phone, indicating them to be the power and volume keys. However, the left side might feature the Plus Key, which is a customizable button that the tech giant debuted with recent models.

Expected Specifications

Earlier speculations suggested the phone to be rebranded as OnePlus Ace 6, however, newer reports indicate that it may be tied to the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6T. For display, the device is expected to feature a 6.7-inch OLED display, 1.5K resolution, and a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 15R is expected to be powered by the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.

For the camera, the report says that it might pack a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For the battery, the upcoming OnePlus 15R is expected to be powered by an 8,000mAh battery supported by 100W fast charging.
