HMD Global today launched a new X-series smartphone — the Nokia X30 5G — in India. The company had first introduced the phone back in October last year. Now, nearly five months later, the company is bringing the device to India. The Nokia X30 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor and it competes with the likes of the OnePlus 10T and the iQoo 9T.
The Nokia X30 5G comes in India in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. It is available for pre-booking in India starting today in Cloudy Blue and Ice White colour variants a price of Rs 48,999. As a part of the pre-launch offer, HMD Global is giving benefits worth Rs 6,500, which includes a discount of Rs 1,000 discount on the purchase of the smartphone, and Nokia Comfort Earbuds worth Rs 2,799 and a 33W charger worth Rs 2,999 at no additional cost to the customers who pre-book the device. It will start shipping the device starting February 21.

The Nokia X30 5G will go on sale exclusively on Amazon and Nokia.com starting February 20. As part of the launch offer, the company a 33W Nokia Fast Wall Charger free to all subscribers on Amazon. In addition to this, the company is offering Rs 4,000 off on exchange of any smartphone, and six months free Spotify Premium subscription for the purchases made up to February 28.
Coming to the specifications, the Nokia X30 5G comes with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, aspect ratio of 20:9, a screen refresh rate of 90Hz, a peak brightness of 700 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor that is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. It runs the Android 12 mobile operating system out-of-the-box and HMD Global has promised three years if OS upgrades for this smartphone.
Coming to imaging, the Nokia X30 5G smartphone features a dual-rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP big pixel PureView OIS camera with support for Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 123-degree field-of-view. On the front it has a 16MP selfie shooter.
In terms of connectivity, the Nokia X30 5G features support for Bluetooth v5.1, eSIM, USB Type-C (USB 2.0), and dual-band WiFi:802.11 and for audio it has two microphones and a speaker with support for OZO Spatial Audio capture with wind noise reduction, aptX HD, aptX Classic, and aptX Adaptive. The phone is backed by a 4,200mAh battery with support for a 33W charger.
