Motorola is all set to bring another budget-friendly smartphone to India. After unveiling the Moto G06 series in Europe last month, the company has now dropped a teaser hinting at the arrival of the Moto G06 Power in the Indian market. While the teaser doesn’t explicitly mention the phone by name, the clear emphasis on the word “Power” suggests that the launch of the G06 Power is the handset it refers to. The Moto G06 Power is equipped with 6.88-inch LCD panel, offering an HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone also features an IP64-rated dust and water-resistant design for improved durability.
Internally, the Moto G06 Power will run on MediaTek’s Helio G81 Ultra chipset. It comes with multiple configurations in Europe – 4GB or 8GB of RAM, along with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of internal storage. It remains to be seen which of these options Motorola brings to India.
For optics, the phone houses a 50MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. It also features dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Going by the teaser, Motorola is expected to announce an India launch date later this week. When it launches, the Moto G06 Power will compete against other entry-level smartphones with a focus on battery life.
With a large 7,000mAh battery and overall balanced specs, the Moto G06 Power could be a major contender in the budget segment.
